What can you do as an Assistant Instructor?

Beyond the responsibilities and duties as a Divemaster, certified Assistant Instructors are authorized to do the following:

Teach academic presentations under the indirect supervision of an Instructor
Evaluate Open Water Diver surface skills under the indirect supervision of an Instructor
Teach the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course
Teach Project AWARE Specialty courses
Conduct Discover Scuba experiences
Teach Emergency First Response after successful completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor course
