Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for Scuba Diving

Why AED for Scuba Diving: This course represents entry-level training designed to educate the general diving (and qualified non-diving) public to better recognize the warning signs of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and administer first aid using Basic Life Support techniques and Automated External Defibrillators
(AEDs) while activating the local emergency medical services, (EMS) and /or arranging for evacuation to the nearest appropriate medical facility.
Prerequisites: Current CPR training.
What you will do: Red the DAN Automated
External Defibrillators (AED) for scuba Diving Student
Handbook and complete the review questions prior to
coming to class. During class, you will (a) watch
a short video, (b) go over the review questions, (c) participate in a skills practice by getting hands
on experience with an AED trainer and (d) take a 20-question
quiz.
Cost of course: $65 - Price includes the AED for Scuba
Diving Handbook and, certification card.
Add-on: For an additional $25, get the PADI AED for Divers Specialty.
