DIVEMASTER COURSE
Take the first step
in your dive career and become a Divemaster.
Working closely with an Instructor, you'll expand
your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a
dive professional. Divemaster training develops
your leadership abilities by training you to supervise
dive activities and assist instructors with student
divers.
What can Divemasters do:
Work
at local dive centers, on live-aboard dive boats, yachts
and at exotic resort locations, Assist Instructors with
students , Lead Scuba Divers on guided dive
tours , Teach and certify Skin Divers , Teach Discover Snorkeling programs, Conduct Scuba Review
programs for certified divers , Lead certified divers on
Discover Local Diving experiences , and Teach Emergency
First Response programs after successful completion of
an Emergency First Response Instructor course.
Cost: $625 includes an Orientation Meeting,
DM Candidate Information Booklet, Divemaster Crew Pak
(contains Divemaster Manual, Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving,
Diving Knowledge Workbook, CD with Divemaster Conducted
Program lesson guides, application package, emblem,
decal, brochure, Divemaster Slates, Discover Scuba
Diving Slates, and Pro Bag), confined water cue cards,
open water cue cards, Wheel, e-RDP, rental of DM DVD, Divemaster Texas Pre-application fee, Divemaster Application fee,
Classroom, Water skill assessments, confined water pool sessions, lake sessions.
Course price does not cover
scuba park entry fees, air fills or equipment rental.
What will you do: (1)
Learn dive leadership through classroom and independent
study sessions, (2) Complete water skills and stamina
exercises in confined and open water , (3) Training
exercises to test organizational and problem solving
abilities and (4) An internship or series of practical
training exercises.

How long will it take:
Pace is dependent upon student and student's time
commitment. Our candidates have completed the
program in as little as 4 weeks or as long as a year.

The Divemaster video must also be
viewed.

will do is to schedule an Orientation Meeting to go over
the program requirements and to give you a Candidate
Information Booklet containing
information about course.
What do I need to start:
You need to be an Advanced Open Water Diver,
Rescue Diver certification, medical clearance signed by a physician,
20 logged dives and be at least 18 years old.

Next Scheduled Class:
You can start the Divemaster program at any time.
We usually start a new program on the first Tuesday of
each month with classroom meeting every Tuesday starting
at 6:30 p.m. We have set up our program so that
after the orientation meeting, a candidate may start
attending classroom meetings because the topics are
presented on a rotating basis.
