Equipment Specialist Course -
classroom only

Master Scuba Diver
Certification
Why take the Equipment
Specialist Specialty? Whether it's a regulator
problem, a wet suit tear or a broken mask strap, the
Equipment Specialist course can help. This Specialty
course prepares you for the basic equipment
maintenance, care and adjustments you'll encounter every
day. In addition, you'll get the valuable background on
equipment repair and purchase, making you better able to
protect your investment .
However, it is not a repair course.
What do you need to start?
You must be at least 10 years old and certified as a
Junior Scuba Diver, a Scuba Diver, a Junior Open Water
Diver, or a Open Water Diver.

Cost of Course with Materials: $135.00
includes Classroom Session, Encyclopedia of Recreational
Diving, certification card and picture for
certification card.
What you will do:
You will come to
a classroom session. During your Equipment
Specialist program, you'll familiarize yourself with the
operation and maintenance of your personal equipment.
In
addition, during the classroom, you get to touch, feel,
try on/out, if you want, different types of masks,
snorkels, bcds, weights, weight systems, fins and
accessories.
This course is not an equipment repair course but
is
intended to familiarize divers with the operation and
maintenance of equipment. According to standards, training relative to the repairing and
overhauling of equipment, except for very minor
servicing, is not to be part of the curriculum.
You will learn
about the theory,
principles and operation of diving equipment, routine,
recommended care and maintenance procedures,
and equipment storage, common problems with equipment and recommended
professional maintenance procedures
and
simple suggestions for comfortable equipment
configurations and an introduction
to new equipment
